As if the power doesn't go out enough on it's own!!!!

I was out for three days last winter during the last storm in Feb. I did not have the 002 then, now I have two of them! Temps here have been low 20's at night, 20 below the average. Rick

    Coolant question

I do not think they are behind the mounts, Passenger side should be somewhere near the back end of the starter and drivers side should be close to the mount but in front of it. They should not be hard to find looking up from underneath with a flashlight.

HELP!! installing the rebuilt IP - MEP-002A Refurb Update

Thanks Ben, I had a post titled "Rough running" that I think I will abandon because this thread is covering all of the bases. Rick

    doghead relay surprise...

On most of the Ford style relays like that if they have two small posts then one is the feed for the relay and the other is an output to feed 12 volts to the coil for starting or in some cases to bypass an oil safety switch. The relay does ground through the base but it has to be bolted to the...

HELP!! installing the rebuilt IP - MEP-002A Refurb Update

Joe, I think this thing has become personal to all of us, Once you get it going this thread will become invaluable for diagnosing and repairing a 002. Once it is all said and done I am going to print out the entire thread and out it my generator papers. Rick

    Coolant question

The rest is trapped in the block, there is a drain plug on both side of the block. It has been a long time since I worked on them but the plug is below the freeze plugs and offset more to one end but I do not remember exactly where. It will be a 1/4" pipe plug, hex head. Rick

    Aberdeen

I know one year there was a shortfall due to some unforeseen circumstances at one of Cabell's dinners and one of the members forked out some cash. I don't think he was going to say anything but word got out and there was an immediate collection to cover the costs. When you consider that the food...

    Aberdeen

I am going to ask a question here that may not be real popular but it is something to think about. Since there is no "onsite camping" isn't there going to be a point where drunken rowdy parties are going to cause the management to put an end to the use of the venue? I like to have fun as much as...

Definitely get hold of Cabell so there is not a glut of food and people lose money. I know Cabell has done this for many years. I will be there as well but you don't have to worry about me sucking up all the beer. Rick

    Allow me to introduce myself

Craig, I hate to say this but you are not helping your situation by going on like that. I, for one have had enough of the paranoia and witch hunting, I am gone. Craig, you can pm me if you think I can help. Mods, you really need to take a close look at the paranoia and retribution that is going...

    Muffler The MEP003

I think you ought to run the pipe and then start the generator without the muffler. I think you will surprised at how quiet then exhaust is. Just go with a pipe and a cap. Now inside the shed you will need serious hearing protection. Also make sure you have adequate ventilation for the cooling...

    Allow me to introduce myself

Just because there was one a**hole in the CUCV section does not mean every new guy is going to be him. Cut the guy some slack until he proves otherwise, what is the harm in that? Is this a site for information or is it a military operation where it is by the book or else? I suppose all of the...
