    1953 v-17a/mtq maint & tel.const. w/wn

The G742 series started production in late 1949. The telephone trucks are pretty rare. It would have been a 331 gasser.

So you just drove it home and it has ALL bad injectors and a pump? What's it doing? Doesn't seem remotely right.

    Military Yard In Lake City,Fl.

Very limited. You might be better off at Shirleys Surplus in Barnesville GA, depending on the type of genset.

    USAF Colors for Early M35

The tank isn't origional. By 1966 gassers should have been gone. I'd guess it's an A1 or possibly an early A2. I don't see any gasser specific components. I'd paint strata blue.

    deuce steering box

Why not just remove the shaft? It takes 5 minutes.
  18. hndrsonj

    deuce steering box

Yes, reinstall in pieces. I would never consider pulling an engine just to remove the gearbox.
  19. hndrsonj

    deuce steering box

I've done a couple. I just removed them in pieces. On a gasser they come out very easy in one piece.
