The earlier U-bolts had flat spots on the inside of them. The current ones are just regular U-bolts. The switch is on the right side of the steering column. The directions are vague at best. They are easy to do though, after you've done one set.:driver:
I didn't remember seeing any at Jack's but I did not see everything. I would guess he has a couple. Tomlins had two REALLY nice ones. I believe they are now at Boyce.
Get into the TM's under the resources section. Almost every series of truck has front and rear winches (in at least one variant). Several have reinforced frames. I would not be in a rush to buy until you know exactly what you want the end product to be.
On the front of the fenders there is a piece of rubber about 1/8" thick by the width/length of the support. There is also a thin piece of rubber on the rear of the fenders between the fender and the cab. The rear of the cab sits on the bracket with two rubber doughnuts in between. The bolts also...
A F150 will tow it fine. The tarps work pretty good. Just put on the magnetic lights and go. I'd install LED's and an adapter plug after you get it home and repack the wheel bearings.
