Rory Let me tell you, you don't know how many time that thing was hit by a foot.
Didn't know they did refurb in Saigon. We had one with a blow up engine they sent it to Japan for repair. It was a pain to get it ready to go.

Rory Great eye but you missed the Molotov cocktail cover on the engine cover. Is the rear top door on your V is it flat? It is a great job in restoring a V. This is from a Driver of one in Vietnam with the 630MP CO. 1970-71.
Guys just so you know I saw the UNTOUCHABLE Gun Truck today At Mt Olive Il for our Vietnam Veteran Carvan. It looked Great The new owner said this was the first time out this year. I know the owner and he will take good care of it. Sorry no pictures Wasn't thinking We had over 60...
When I was with the 630 MP co Some of our guys put one in Tiger Lake Which was on Cam Rahn Bay in Vietnam. As he was driving into the water a LT. told him if it sinks you buy it. He didn't have to buy it.
Tell you're wife you were out for a walk. And it followed you home. Then say."Can I keep it. Please, Please come on Please." I will take care of it, I will wash it and feed it and take it out a drive it from time to time. Oh, wait most of that is what you say if a dog follows you home
3 star I have seen Rory collection Not a museum But I think he is working on it His V looks (almost his gun set up is different he has a 50 and ?? we had m-73s ) and drives like the ones we used in Vietnam for MP convoy duty with the 630th MP Co.
Those side covers almost offer as much protection as the open hatch on a V100. Something we found out in Nam is you realy didn't want to be in there when with the turret hatch closed when you were firing the m-73. And, when you were firing an out side weapon you hoped the other guys missed...
Rory So you went from hot and dry south Texas to the wet and cool north west. So did you stop and see much. Or, was it a drive thru with no time???? Glad that you are traveling safe. Tell everyone I said, HI. Louie
Rory Dave More Pictures At the 630th they wouldn't let us wax ours and they wanted the colored nose art off We didn't listen to well Our high ups said the nose art made us a target Like a 10ft. tall 8ft. wide machine wasn't a target. Looks great More pictures...
Rory That is a great looking group of kids. Tell Patrick was to go. Glad you could all be together on a very happy day. It looks like you did a realy good job of bring them up. Tell everyone to be safe and keep up the good work. Louie
I don't know much. But, this I do know Rory will help you as much as he can. He put a lot a time, effort and money into rebuilding his V. When he was done it was done right. Myself and 3 others who drove V,s in Nam got to go look at it and as luck would have it he let us have a little...
I can't remember any time we drove our Vs in the driver down position in Nam. Even if it was raining we were up because you couldn't see out those little windows. We did have either sunglasses on our helmets with shields on them. We ducked down low But you got rained on big time.
