Our group has one of these setups in a slick M52 setup. This works, somewhat. Expect to go slow on hills and have very low acceleration. It does work though.
Nope, not yet. I'm working on other things. I just wanted to see what other folks had done. I've thought about a set of added marker lights and/or turn signals out there too. Especially for side facing signals. Though, what Cranetruck has done make sense too.

I've driven mine from Atlanta to Pennsylvania and back twice now so I've seen a bit of weather in them. They can be made a bit more livable and you can run electronics in them. I have a voltage converter in mine to get 12 volts. it works just fine. I also bought new windscreens with fresh...
I've been contemplating a set of lights on Mirror Brackets for forwards facing and more downward tilting illumination in addition to the road. Anyone have any suggestions?
Hi Rob! First, let me thank you for your service!
Now, I'm in Atlanta and I have a Deuce. If you'd like to take a trip up to Atlanta once you get back to CONUS, I can show you mine and we can go over some of the details of how they work and go over care and feeding, drive it around and see the...
Might I suggest the generator controls be mounted on a panel? That way you can service the controls easily or even disconnect the whole thing with a few pigtails to effect an addition if you so choose.
I run 60 PSI in my 1100s with super singles. Much better ride that way. No load of course means that there's hardly any movement. It's far better if you have some tools and stuff back there.
In my own case I built a system to run an electric brake trailer off my truck with a dash mounted brake controller allowing me to adjust the braking force as necessary. For something small like an M105 I"d just go with the air over hydraulic. With the Electric system towing a 5 ton laden trailer...

The March of 2011 saw us with the new partner in the project (Randy), who took over from the third partner (Don). We were thinking we could get the car ready for FIG2 in 2011 but when we got rolling we realized it was going to be too big a deal. So we pushed on through 2 weeks of work and...
As stated above, we had three triwalls full of parts.
A clean exterior with new fenders, stowage bins and good mechanicals.
But No dash. No Electrical control system. And no wiring aside from the basics to start the engine and move it around.
The inside of the hull had been blasted...
So, as some of you may know, about 7 years ago myself and two friends jumped into an armored car restoration project. A dealer in the UK, Chris Wilkinson, who has now passed away, had a small set of about 6 Ex Portugues-Ex-British Army Humber Mk IV armoured cars. WE bought the last one for...
I bought a set from Tirechains.com.
I ran them 2 winters ago when we got a snow/ice storm in Georgia. With front wheel drive engaged and chains on the front and rear axles, my truck was VERY controlled and planted even on ice. I was able to tow a MARTA bus that was blocking the road with a 4"...
