    So I bought a deuce

When bleeding the brakes make sure you bleed the airpack FIRST before you start on the wheel cylinders, that's the only thing off the top of my head that might be causing your variable brake pressure problems.

    P.T.O Removal on M35

Hammerdown: No, that looks like the end plate off of the winch itself. The plate you are looking for is rectangle with one bolt hole on the top and bottom, and two bolt holes on both sides, 6 holes altogether.

    P.T.O Removal on M35

Yes there is a plate to close off the hole left buy the PTO, you should use a gasket also. I just installed one, and then removed/re-installed it the following weekend to add another gasket for proper shims. It's not too hard, should take about an hour, give or take, once you've drained the oil...

    IHC M-2-4 is home

atankersdad That truck looks like it has a civilian engine in it judging from the air cleaner, if so I bet that is my old M2-4. Mine had a GMC 305 V-6 in it, let me know if that's her and I'll give you a little history on her, and you can fill me in on what you know about her sinse she left me.

gimpyrobb: Thanks for the response, I guess I'll keep looking for a different storage solution.

    Shackles on USMC modified M37?

Dodge Man, I think they are the same size. Either in the Deuce forum, or the hot rodded deuce forum, is an article with pictures and measurments, sorry I don't remeber which section, but it was one of those two. I'm pretty sure the the clips were made our of 3/4" steel rod, and are about 8"...

    converting stock wheels to tubeless

After reading, and seeing the pictures in the "ghetto tubeless conversions" I guess it "could" be done, but it seems you'd need a $hit load of that latex stuff, and then apparently it wouldn't be a permanent solution as you need to add more latex about every month or so. It might be ok for an...

    Shackles on USMC modified M37?

Generally, only the Marine Corps undercoated their vehicles, possibly Sea Bees also, BUT I have a 1953 REO rebuilt to A2 specs in the 80s, it has Air Force blue, and Army green, but it is undercoated. Go figure. As far as I've seen so far, it was NEVER a Marine vehicle (I''ll "fix" that!) Also I...

help wiht M35A2 fuel system problems

When bleeding the injectors I was told to have somebody in the cab holding the accelerator pedal to the floor, for each injector, by a friend with a 5-ton, it worked, and I got her going again after running her out of fuel. Hope this helps.

    M52A2 Before & After

Good to see the old girl, I bought that M52A2 from the second to the last DRMO auction at Luke AFB, back around 98 or 99. I had some friends that were welders, I designed and modified the civilian dump bed I got from a truck salvage yard, to more closely resemble a 5-ton bed. I called it my...

    Half Track?

That's at least a $1000-$1500 halftrack as it has the rear bed and the winch has not been cut off. What is even cooler, the bed appears to be the original WWII M3 bed, these are usually missing. If this was close to me I'd be looking at it pretty seriously. I did a frame up restoration on a M3A1...

    Extra storage

I'm interested in one, possibly two boxes, if it will clear the top of the fuel tank on the passenger side. I hung a tape measure from the bottom outside lip of the bed, and "eyeballed" it across the top of the fuel tank, and I believe you have 10" of clearance. So how deep is the box when...

    M35A2 Front End Replacement Questions

COOL! Thanks for all the replies. Ok, so the muratic acid sounds like a bad idea, I got plenty of UMO and diesel to flush it with. Already bought the front axle from a member of our local club, cheap. I plan on checking all the outer end stuff, and put the best stuff on the axle already now in...

    M35A2 Front End Replacement Questions

Gentlemen: I spent last weekend, swapping out my non working front axle, for a used working takeout. Some fun when doing it by your self, but I got her done, and without injuring myself or the truck. Just took my time and figured out how to get the old one off and down, and the new one up and...

    Canadian MLVW wheels

Charlietango, thanks for the link with the measurements. I'm currently running 395s on stock rims, with no problems, but would like to update to wider rims when financially able to do so. I like these, but due to shipping from Canada, I'd say my best bet will be modified HEMMET rims.

    Canadian MLVW wheels

Just curious, how wide are those rims? Thanks.

    It's in Europe, Netherlands?

how to mount 395's on a stock rim?

When I installed mine, I put the rim on top off an older rim with a piece of old carpet between them, then I stuck short pieces of 4x4 every 90 degrees under the tire, so I could walk on the tire, and kick the ring back on the rim. Make sure you wire brush, media blast, or chip away any dirt...

    15.5 spare on deuce (pics)

Tm America: You stated you had to let the air out of the tire...why? And did you air it back up? Will it rub if aired up? Thanks
