Is a Boyce m35 Bobber right for me?

The truck has a clean Utah title? There shouldn't be a problem. What's IA saying?

new member, new Deuce to me, total noob

I think the fifth wheel will be way too high. There's a member in GA who modified one for a gooseneck hitch. He had to do extensive work to lower the ball. Your hitch will be about 2' higher than his.

    2011 vin info thread

It really won't do much good for a bigger picture. Not all deuces have it in the exact same spot. They moved around a little bit. In fact some early ones are on the passenger side. Most likely it is on the drivers side though.

    deuce year ?

If I remember right, the date on axles will not be on the tag but stamped into the pumpkin close to it. What year did CARNAC say it was?

    Stripping the Wiring

Are you going to replace it or try to fix? Replacement is better if you can afford it.

Wrong stock number? Someone got a heater in Vietnam..

Since we are talking heaters; there's the fender mounted one like in the picture, and the cab one like Zout posted. Wasn't there one that mounted on the passenger fender? Does anyone have a pic? And what was it's purpose? I think Midwest Military has the kits but I'm not sure they are actually...

replacing the transfer-case in an A1

I'd use a cherry picker through the drivers door. Increadibly easy. Makes it a 1 person job!

    Midwest military also had them.

    rear dog bones?

They are called torque rods but everyone calls them dog bones. The 5 tons are quite a bit larger and they aren't interchangeable.

    Homemade troopseats?

The uprights are totally different sized. I pieced mine together from several places before snake river started reproducing them. (I do have 1 side extra troop seat brackets-the seat part). I don't think modded M35 seats will work (without ALOT of work) or look remotely right. It's prolly going...
