    battery cut-off switch for deuce

RE: Re: Voltage draw Personally, I prefer having a good positive cut out that keeps the truck from drawing anything absolutely. 2 of my 3 MVs have it.

Hey Spicer, show us the Big Dumb Trailer if you could.

    CDL for M818

Georgia has a Non Commercial Class A and B license. The reason you don't want a CDL is that requirements are stricter and penalties are stricter for their use. Further if you're not commercial and you DO get a commercial license it's more reason for the officer to be asking you questions about...

    Fuel pump question

Did you check to see if you had 24 volts on the power supply cable?

How fast do you drive your Deuce?

With the 1100 Singles I added last winter, I try to center it on 55 mph to keep from screaming the engine too much. That allows 2200 rpm if I recall correctly. 50-55mph is comfortable on the long stretches of highway. I haven't swapped the speedo adaptor but I have a GPS installed so I can get...

    Anyone tow with their deuce?

There's a 20 Amp military breaker on the firewall that I added to power the 24-12 volt converter thats on the firewall in the cab under the glove box. That has two sets of outputs. One to a 12volt receptacle with a cover that I added to a bracket next to all the switches on the dash AND another...

The Deuce and Truck Weight Stations

I have driven to and from PA to Ga by myself in the Deuce with the Dingo on a trailer 3 times so far. All up weight was 26,200 lbs. I made a habit of pulling into each weigh station and each time I get a green light and a wave. I had one station have the guy in the tower tell me to pull to the...

    Anyone tow with their deuce?

Here's my setup. The trailer was bought from a friend for $1k. It needed new brakes, bearings and wiring/lights. Trailer lights are 24 Volts all around. The Trailer will hopefully be getting a new paint job and an addition of more tie down points. I also want to add a tool box on the A-Frame...

    Thermostat

Seems like a lever you pull to close and open a damper in front of the radiator would be handy.

Run gasoline or diesel in a multifuel

OF course, interestingly here in Georgia when the fuel prices spiked badly, they did a several month waiver specifically allowing off road fuel to be used. The state was making so much money in tax revenue since the tax is per dollar on the fuel and not per gallon that they seemed to feel...

    Where is that @#$%$## buzzer?

How about a switch that has a mechanical timer? You turn it and it cuts the buzzer circuit and after 5 mintues it'll close and re-enable the buzzer.

where can I find a snatch block?

    Alternate spare tire stowage/mount suggestions?

How about you slide the bed back by the width of the tire (12"?) and install an arm that has a hand winch to lift/lower the tire/arm up and down to the ground? That gives you space on the other side for a tool box just behind the cab too. Perhaps even space for a ladder so you can easily get on...

    Sdkfz 251 with a 120mm mortar...

The second part being that the German "field modifications" never created new non- factory vehicles. Whomever said that needs to look at the vast number of ersatz vehicles that were worked up in field workshops. Whether the maultier or any number of other vehicles. Heck, the Rockets in Crates...

Armor near Harrisburg-there's Tigers in them hills

That looks like the 9th SS Guys who go to Fort Indiantown Gap's events. There's one coming up this February.

    Where are the fuses/breakers?

You could also have a breaker under the dash for some of the other additions that the trucks come with.

    Beadlocks?

Beadlocks can also be a kind of insert that's added inside the tire that goes inside of the beads and when you use a divided disk type rim, the beads are clamped. Some also work as run flat inserts.

    2nd daft 816 question

RE: Re: RE: 2nd daft 816 question Martin, that shut off tap just before the injector is not what you think it is. The fuel hand starting pump is also a priming pump for clearing air out of the fuel system. That tap is the high point in the system and you pump the handle to get fuel out of that...
