The Railroad is supposed to be cheaper. If you can drive it on/off the flat bed then you'll have less trouble. Finding a dock for this at both ends will be tricky though. I think NS should cover the route from end to end though. If they don't CSX should.
Hmm, stopped a few times in the Ferret. Usual questions go rapidly from "is that legal?" to "how much was it and where can I find one?".
The Deuce/trailer/dingo combination has made me friends with the DOT inspectors in SC who LOVE the truck and the armored car. They chat amiably with me every...
Check that the fuel priming pump works, you can hang a bucket from a fitting and open the high point valve in the system. Are you sure your fuel hasn't gelled?
They're circuit breakers. They heat up at a certain voltage AND Amperage. Basically think of a filament that's designed to trip at a specific voltage and amperage. If you run it at a higher voltage, it'll take fewer amps to trip it. Just like running a low voltage light at twice the voltage...
Tinned lead lugs that are crimp on should be pretty good. We have them like that here at work with high voltages for AC power and I have similar for low voltage DC hardware that I put together with a similar crimper. I do have longer lugs that are crimped in two places but they're good to go. If...

Right, that's the drum lock. Back of the winch is the dog clutch. I was just wondering where the path of power was...
Lesse if I can draw the power path correctly. (this is upside down of course)
Double lines are power path. Single lines are...
Boy, this thread really degenerated. You guys aren't just arguing about length but also girth and the size of your truck's 'tube' on the inside.

Hmm, I'm wondering about this because my winch, when it's not engaged can be unspooled just fine. Is the clutch between the drum and the brake then?
CSI just moved there from Dallas Ga. They had a big yard there that they were slowly emptying. They've been in Dallas for at least 8 years now. The reason it looks all new and neat is because they just moved in. :-)
I want to wire two of these up in my truck. Adding a switch to their feed is a good idea. I'd like to hang them from the bows so I have a good spread of downlight.
