Add some air tool oil to the hose that leads into them to keep them lubed. They'll blow a bit of oil for a while as the excess comes out but it works to keep the lubed and it should be compatible. YMMV
The wiring looks good in the photos. I would go through the wiring diagram and verify that everything is connected correctly. Misconnect some things and nothing will work. check that you're getting power at the circuit breakers too.
Service that winch cable too. Pull it all the way out, make...
I chose the straight up version like that from northern tool for the following reasons:
1. Straight vertical, it can be bolted right next to the side wall for better stiffness AND better clearance with the rest of the bed.
2. The handwinch allows one to set the boom height, THEN lift the load...
What Clinto has is what I added to my Deuce too. I would LOVE to drop a spare $10K on the Palfinger K-Boom that White Owl has but....I don't have that kind of money just laying around. :(
RE: A few more...
It's a cool place. They have several army rail cars. Twould be neat if we could get some local steel soldiers to adopt a car or two.
At some point in the future, I'd love to see a WWII train setup to to go to a re-enactment with crews, passengers in rail cars and flat cars...
The problem is that a battery with a different state of charge that's in a series string of batteries has a different resistance to the charging current than the other battery(ies). The one that is fully charged gets over charged and the one that is under charged doesn't get enough current for a...
I have a separator on the low point of the lines. It's not that long ~10 feet. But I have a split and then a dogleg to then feed an oiler for the air tools. One point is just dry filtered air. The other is oiled and dry/filtered air. A good thing to do is to put in a Tee (A T on it's side) so...
A pipe system or better yet, a black/galvanized pipe system makes a huge difference. I added a manifold pipe system on the wall of my garage and where I'd been having condensation coming out of tools it all went away. I did add a water separator/filter and a regulator, but having all that setup...
Re: RE: Water Buffalo Move from near College Park to Duluth
Pretty darn soon, it's on a horse farm that's about to be developed. He's basically offered it's use for me and presumably who moves it for him. His brother had a pickup but he sold it.
ADR, he'll probably show you around the museum...
A Director needs a water buffalo moved from near College Park up to near Duluth to the SE RR Museum. Is anyone with a Deuce able to move this for him? It's Greg Russell at the SSRR museum. Let me know I'll get you in touch.
