In the meantime I did alot of testing... I took of the blower and checked it and on the other side of the engine I replaced the gasket of the airbox cover. I thought the engine didn´t get enough air. After that the engine smoked as it did before. :roll: Than I took of the manifold and know it...

Ahhhh.... I forgot... some of the fuel is getting back to the tank! :roll: Thank God....

To make shure that I didn´t get bad fuel I took a can with 2 litres (0.5 gallon) and see what happend....:cry: Fuel consumption of 0.5 gallon within 1 minute at idle speed....:shock: What the **** is going on?:roll:

Of course, I can get injectors for the DD 3-53 in Germany, but one will cost $ 150! My injectors (N45) are nearly new, they got only 600 mls...

In the meantime I changed the thermostat. The engine temperature reaches 180°-190° F. I also did the injector timing adjustment (no change needed) I adjusted the valve clearance (they have been a little to loose) and I adjusted the injector rack control lever (has been nearly ok). I also checked...

Also... during my ride the engine starts to smoke, first light grey, than dark grey and finally nearly black... !?:roll:

OK, thank you... I fixed it, but no change, temperature dosn´t go higher than 140°....:cry:

The 3-53 of my goat doesn´t reach normal operating temperature... If I push em to the limit the temperature will go up to 140° and it should be 180° - 200°. So I opened the thermostat housing and i found the thermostat and another part. I´m not shure if it belongs to the thermostat or if it is...

Hi, these trucks are on sale at the VEBEG, thats the the German GL... In this list you may see the prices they get for these trucks.. you have to add 19% tax... so we have to pay ~ $ 12.000,- Some of them need alot of work and parts to run. Anyway, $21.000,- seems to be not really cheap...

Hi, I allready changed all the oil from the gearbox, transfer case and diffs... and all the old oil looks good, no water in the oil... Mike, sorry, I dont understand this: There is a zerk fitting at each joint front and rear of the diff." :?: BTW. I added lots of grease to the front coil...

Thank you... that seems to be a good explanation for that noise :idea: Sometimes my goat also hang a little bit on the left side and after a ride its gone. That might have the same reason...:!: I will check that!

Nice looking bikes, but... at least you have to buy 2 of them to keep one running and... you have to be a enthusiast :roll:
