Yes I was able to work out a deal, there is a 3rd one too so trying to work out the logistics of removal its a difficult site to access. I'm going back tomorrow for the first one.
Yes very true. With the larger cranes they usually cut the frame, extended and plated it with up to half inch plate lengthwise down each frame rail. Those hold up pretty well but not the best restoration candidates usually. I look for the cranes mainly for parts units. I've seen a half dozen...
I bought this for drivetrain parts and to keep it from getting scrapped. Came with a title that matches the motor serial number. It had the same type crane conversion done by a company in Oklahoma. The frame is very bad but a lot of good parts. The track drive hubs and sprockets have virtually...
I have what I think is an irac aluminum .50 replica in excellent condition no damage or wear for $900.00
Quad .50 trailer no damage but a little rust on the floor, flat tires, mounting flange for quad in perfect shape along with the tool box and hitch $400.00
7 ton wrecker steel mudguards behind...
I don't have any files with the dimensions but if you need any help with dimension verification I can do that. There are something like 19 pieces total for the rear on an M2A1.
:-D
It has a data plate so it should have all the info you need. If it happens to be an M21 then that kicks the value up a bit I think. To my knowledge their is maybe one known M21 survivor they were a very small late war production run. 110 M21's were made as opposed to 3615 M16's so an M21...
Don't know what you can get it all for but it's a great find. The most complete one (it does look like an M16) if it really runs is worth 5k by itself easily. That's just my opinion.
I replaced the steering box on one of my scout cars with one from an Autocar M2 HT and the number on the housing is T265999. I checked the SC parts book and the only number I could find was T266000.
I'm not sure what the different numbers signify but I can verify a box from an M2 HT will work on...
I didn't understand that either unless they didn't know what parts went with what or else they wanted the loose parts hauled off immediately or both. I wasn't there either just watched online. They sold some stuff like Dodge 1/2 ton seat frames offline for $33.00 per someone on the G503.
Knowing the guy that owned all that stuff I think his intention was to make one out of the two he had. The other sold for more even though the rear side armor was cut so perhaps the drivetrain on that one was better. Did you happen to see what the separate offline auction for the rear piece of...
Sorry for the negative waves on the G503. I'm clintm20 over there. I know that one guy was trashing halftrack frames pretty hard but I have a lot of experience with them and as long as
you get one that has not been abused I think you would be fine. I would definitely go with a longframe (m3)...
