I don't want to seem discouraging just trying to be realistic. Scout cars are rare just don't get excited and pay too much if you know what I mean. If the motor was really strong, good compression on all cylinders, etc and it has some unseen goodies under the hood I could see it selling for...
It is hard to put a value on this stuff sometimes, especially these days. This is in my area of operations so I'll give it a shot. It is an early model so that is sort of a plus except the parts specific to an early model are even harder to find especially the under the hood do-dads. The doors...
Don't think more "valuable" unless it was restored to the correct M13 configuration with the M33 Twin Maxson which is SUPER rare. To me the M13 is more interesting since none are known to exist in original configuration afaik so I guess it would be more of a personal preference. I know a couple...
I think it is worth the money especially it if started out as an M13 that adds an extra little bit of coolness. That is a nice halftrack its worth the money if it is a real m16 and it looks like it is. Do you have a picture of the frame serial number?
That is from the street side of the fence. I have no interest what so ever just thought they were cool. I didn't try and talk to the guy it gets old after a while.
They are in a scrapyard in Pueblo. I came across them by accident after taking a wrong turn. I think they are on the highway 50 business route. A buddy said they have been there a long time I think the guy who owns the yard has an eye for vintage tin.
My understanding is the museum has many duplicates, several Stuart tanks as one example. They plan to keep one of type and auction the extra samples to help pay for transport costs and the new building, this per one of their guys. The auction will be in Cali in early August 2014.
Thanks OF. I just don't have the time or inclination to build one from an M109 body, I have too much other stuff I'm working on now. I do appreciate your input. You have one sweet 220.
I did check the classifieds but only saw the M211's in CO. Is that what you were referring to? I really want an original 220 that is all there. If it was already turned into a camper that would be even better and I don't care what color its painted:-)
Thanks guys.
