got mine off with small pair ofneedle nose vise grips ,not easy but doable just dont squeeze them so tite they snap in half just grab and rock in circular motion till they slide off sideways foxtrk2
have to add something i ran into with my 37 every trip i took with it i had to replace fuel filter to get et home surprise to em finnaly took out fuel pick up tube and low and behold there is a filter on the end of it in the tank inside the filter the pickup tube had rusted so bad ti would...

had similar problem with my m37 turned out to be distributor cap one of th eimported ones it was cracked in multiple places replaced ti with nos cap an druns like a dream now foxtrk2
