CC Seat
They do look similar. I am working in Mississippi but can send you a pic or two when I go back to Texas in June. Your body looks real nice, mine needs the floor re-done and I'm no welder.
I am looking for anyone who could pick-up a CCKW and provide temporary storage until I can arrange transportation to Texas. It is located in northern California. Please PM or e-mail with price if you can assist. Thanks
OK, does anyone have a hauler/transporter they would recommend? Preferably in the Tex/OK area? Reading all of these replies has changed my mind to having a truck delivered if I should win one.
Sorry, common reference to the M7, M13, M14 trailers which had built up enclosures for use in Anti-Aircraft units in WWII. This is more likely an M1 or M17 version which commonly carried generators, misc. equipment, or the Quad 50 Mount.
Sorry for the poor quality of this picture. I thought it was neat seeing a WWII Director's Trailer being used to haul a Buffalo around in Germany in 1956. The unit was the 510 Tank Battalion, 4th Armored Group. The picture is in the Squadron HQ of the 1/10 Cavalry( Buffalo Soldiers ). Oh yeah...
Could this be it? Probably not, just another derelict 3/4 ton WC that is following me home. It should provide some good parts for another restoration. I was hoping to use the gas tank until the junkyard hired help ripped open the bottom with his forklift.
Leaving Colorado Springs in 10 days and heading home to Central Texas. Have an 18 ft. trailer with some extra room if anyone needs parts or pieces hauled. Jeff
Not sure, I'm taking the "deuce and a half" term as a generic big, Army truck term. Not sure the seller knows much about military vehicles. From the stamping it appears it could be from 42, but I know it won't fit on one of my Dodge 3/4 tons!
I am looking at buying a trailer that is only 6ft. 6 inches wide between the fenders. My question is will a WC51 fit between these fenders? I know it will be close and I am out of state and can't measure mine. Can anyone tell me the distance from outside to outside of the tires? Thanks
