My neighbor has deuces shipped to him often and says if you get someone who has moved them before and they have the right trailer then 2 fit on 1 load. The price per mile shouldn't change much. The shipping cost for each deuce is then cut in half.
I drove mine home but it was only 350...
I just got my first deuce a week ago and my wife thinks it's great. I have the O.D. addiction like everyone else. Don't forget: "The man who dies with the most toys wins!"
I think the spedo story is a bunch of crap. My deuce is on the list but it has been certified to contain no radioactive material. the sticker is right on the windshield.
I received this e-mail AFTER I had allready picked up my truck. They are clueless.
"Thank you for your e-mail...
The sticker is on the windshield above steering wheel next to the red rectangle sticker that says DEMIL EUC REQUIRED. It is white and about the size of a business card. Too dark for pics right now but I will post the sticker and guages soon.
Hi John, I just drove my first deuce home today and it was GREAT! I waited over a year till I placed a bid on a good truck in a location that was close. Glad I did because it is an awesome truck. The pics are on the"select trucks on hold GL WHAT??" thread on page 29. Good luck finding a truck.
Made it home with the deuce and no problems. This was my first deuce recovery and 350 miles to home. I had driven a buddys deuce before but that was my only experience with deuces. I have been watching auctions for over a year and finally bid 2 months ago. The deuce is a 1970 AM General W/W and...
I didn't want to bring up the hold while I was at the base. Sorry to not be able to offer any new info. I allmost asked about the hold but I was like a kid with a new toy.
I just picked up my deuce and am on the road. Stopped at perkins for breakfast and am heading to napa for a headlight. Thumbs up to Ray at G.L. for helping us out at the base. Don't give up on the wait for trucks on hold. You guys will forget all the hassles when you finally get behind the...
Leaving on my recovery. Anyone who has a paid in full invoice should go get your deuce immediately. My G.L. rep made no mention of the hold when we spoke today. Don't wait, go before things change. Good luck for everyone still waiting for invoices. Time to hit the road.
I have a paid in full invoice in hand. The G.L. rep only works tues. and wed. so I am calling tommorow to schedule pickup. If he says ok then I am calling in sick and driving all night for a wed pickup. I will keep everyone posted. Wish me luck.
P.S. -The story I heard on the train pic...
I just checked my account with G.L. and my paid in full invoice is still available. I allready printed several copies just in case but if G.L. was up to something I think that my invoice would be unavailable. I am going to wait it out because I think my truck was a good buy and it is close...
Since I got a paid in full invoice the day before the hold notice my 14 day pickup clock is ticking. Now what? Should I just try to pickup like nothing happened and deal with the fallout later? :?:
nhdiesel you should stop complaining. My truck is on hold and I am also pissed. I was bidding on 2 more and decided to let them go because I couldn't afford to lay out a bunch of money right before winter. We all have bills too. I wanted to get more trucks so I could sell the extra 2 at a...
I bought mine so I could be dissapointed by G.L. I love endless paperwork and nothing is more fun than waiting for an E.U.C. I have just been notified that my deuce has been put on hold for inspection. Horay!!auaaua
My deuce is on the list. Sitting at Elsworth AFB in SD. Waited 50 days for my E.U.C. and got it yesterday. I called today with my paid in full invoice to pick up and found out that the G.L. rep only works tues. and wed. This company is a joke. Now I have to deal with this new mess...
