One thing that happens in the upholstery business too often is people don't scale up the pattern they have to allow for shrinkage. Waxed canvas will shrink 3 to 6 percent. You need to make the new that much larger. (Origin of the old saw. Never put a new patch on an old item.)
Those are different than the ones on the truck I will be taking pictures of. The rear is a piece of sheetmetal bolted to the stake pocket with a hole for the end of the pipe. The pipe is flush with the tailgate. I'll post them this weekend.

You didn't check out the M37 in Las Vegas with the Como bunker on it? That was a bargain price for that truck.
I had an issue where mine was getting harder to steer and then got to where I couldn't park it due to stiffness. I dismantled EVERYTHING and inspected it all. Found nothing worn or out of spec, just old caked up grease. Cleaned it all, put it back together and lubed it and it is back to normal...

I've seen one CJ6 that was used by the Air Force as a flight line crew vehicle because of the longer wheelbase. So, I wouldn't be surprised by a CJ5 that was military owned. After all, they used K-Cars for Military Police!
