On Monday 3/18 my wife and I are headed to TX from Tonopah, AZ with a M925A2. It is going to be a about a 1100 mile trip. The weather is looking like it may be good for the trip.
I have been storing the M925A2 for GIJoeCzar and will be taking it to him in San Antonio, TX.

I got my Mep-005a motor running after getting the pump rebuilt.
But now the generator side is not working. The gages on the panel show no voltage or Hz.
Is there something I need to do to get the generator to start working?
When we picked up the M936 at Barstow the front axle on the right side started leaking on the way home (320 miles).
I got around to working on it and here is the story.
Pulled the hub off and noticed the bearings had rust all over them and were about to come apart, I am sure of that.
Then...
I am looking for some new Radiator Hoses for my MEP-005A. Has anyone found some anyplace?
I searched around and have not found any numbers here on SS.
Thanks!!
I am trying to replace the front axle seal on my M936 and I pulled the old housing out (that was a job!!!) and now I am trying to install the new one.
My question is on the back of the seal housing their is a key looking thing, is it important how the key faces?
To the front, back, top or...
I am new to the MEP-005A. I just picked up one from Barstow and it had not fluid or filters.
I did a search and found some filter numbers but I am not sure if they come with the right o-rings or not.
Here is the numbers I came up with, could you check and see if they are the right ones and do...
I have noticed that the HD motor on the hoist winch must be leaking into the gear box on the winch and over flowing out of the gearbox vent and the holes in the side of the winch drum.
Does anyone know if you can replace the seal or rebuild the pump?
Also who may have a new pump or know were...
I just got the m936 and I was going through things and I noticed the rear winch sear pin was missing.
Has any one broken a sear pin on the rear winch before and were did you find the P/N and a replacement pin for it?
I looked in the TM's I have and it shows a key way and a set screw. My...
We headed out to Barstow to pick up my M936 and SS Old Lincoln County Iron’s (from NM) M936 and look at SS Maj Malfunctions (from OK) M936A1.
Matt (Castle Bravo) and I left my house in Tonopah, AZ at 0215 Tuesday morning to meet up with two other friends Charles (Groundog) and Bill. Left the...
Just a little word about tires.
We pickup my M931A1 Nellis ATB, NV about three weeks ago. When we got to the truck it had a right front flat tire. We aired it up and it looked fine and had not been driven on flat. It was a new looking Michelin. So we headed for home, made it home ok!!
Last...
I am trying to change a tire on my M931A1 and I have not seen this type of wheel before. On other 5 tons wheels I have worked on there is a grove that the o-ring goes into and then the 2nd half of the wheel pushes on the o-ring.
My question is how do you keep the o-ring in place when you put...
I helped a friend (Groundog) pickup a M915 at Nellis AFB, NV on Tuesday.
We got to the GL lot around 0730, got all checked in and headed out to check out the truck.
We looked it over and checked fluids, grease it, added oil to trans, checked the brakes.
Truck started right up and built air ok...
I went to grease my Throw out bearing and as it turns out the grease fitting is facing up.:-(
Is there a way to rotate the bearing so the fitting is facing down with out pulling the trans?
Thanks!!
I picked up a used IP Pump and I would like to know if you can tell if the fuel was turned up on it? The little cover plate did not have any safety wire on it.
The adjustment screw is out like a 5/16"-3/8"
I had a problem with my M923A1 today. The service brakes are not releasing.
I went into town to the post office (about 10 miles) and I noticed that the truck was not getting up the speed. When I got to the Post Office I noticed the rear brake were hot. I let them cool as I tried to find out...
