    5 Ton Batteries

Thanks for all the help. Going in with the two battery set up. I have talked to O Rielly Auto parts about 6TL batteries-they have them for 199 bucks and an 18 buck core charge. So, changing my trucks over to two battery set ups with fresh batteries. Minnesota had a real cold winter which seems...

    MK/18 hookloader compatibility ?

I have bent my license plate and scraped up the rear of my truck in efforts to loose the X-member. Wonder how many kids got hurt dealing with this thing.

    5 Ton Batteries

I am going to have to replace a few batteries on my 5-tons. We had a harsh winter her and it seems to have ruined my batteries. I plan on using just batteries as opposed to four. Does anybody have a decent diagram that shows how to do this. I have an M923 and 936. Further, after reading the...

    MK/18 hookloader compatibility ?

My 18 came with all the bins full. The remote on mine was new and never used. It seems the only way to really use the capability of the truck-trailer combo is via remote while in cab. This allows for moving forward as load progresses. My MK18 came out of GA along with a bunch of other ones that...

    MK/18 hookloader compatibility ?

John, I was able to try mine out on a dumpster this weekend. The dumpster was to short for the MK, but showed me a long one will work-thinking this thing could be used as a dump truck. I first tried with the hook coupled rigid with pin in place (no folding). That didn't work. I then pulled the...

    H-1 Purchase

In 202 I bought a new H1. Overall was good with exception of leaking hubs. Perhaps the worst part of owning it was vandalism and getting the bird by folks in Subarus. My wife and I would use the truck for date night-that soon ended due to people messing with it in the parking lot. Egged, keyed...

    M923A1 radiator leaking drivers side.

I had a M35a3 with blown head gasket. It pressurized my coolant system. Check for bubbles with rad cap while running. pete

    Craig Systems Shelter Camper Build

Only update for me is-I have moved it indoors to work on! I have recently purchased a new (to us) building for my manufacturing process. Spent much time dealing with Klown Kontractor which caused me great anguish and swear words and other not so nice stuff. I plan on re-starting the process...

    mk48 night mare

I have just shot him another email request. I will let you know if he responds to the MK48 hose kits. Pete

The transfer case has an internal locking differential that is used to "lock" the front output shaft to the rear output shaft. In unlocked, the two outputs can turn at different speeds depending upon traction. Pete

    mk48 night mare

The hydraulic hoses that feed the rear unit are of different sizes with mating ends. Will be a good idea to take plenty of photos to ensure the routing is the same when putting back together. There is a guy on this site that has replacement hose sets for the MK. I have not been able to secure a...

A3 in Blue and 2 Deuces with Large wagons

Figured folks might like to see an A3 in blue. She is parked in a Military Surplus lot not far from my building in Maplewood, MN. Two Deuces where lurking hitched to wagons-big heavy ones. Perhaps others on this thread might post pictures of their un-conventionaly painted MV. Would be fun to...

    mk48 night mare

John, Sounds like you bought from a good seller. Glad to hear they are doing the right thing. Do you have a remote operator for the rear unit? How about the jack and remote pump? Pete

    Dog, Brush and an A3

When I went into the kennel area to have a look at "Harrington"(I renamed him), I could only look straight ahead. Walking past those cages with take me home eyes in all the dogs was tough. Wish I could have em all. You are right-my heart was all busted over loosing Jerry. He was healthy, yet...

    mk48 night mare

I would think the engagement linkage for the transfer case is out of adjustment. That truck went 1000 miles jiggling on a flathead probably shucking the transfer case output shaft back and forth-maybe enough to affect a poorly adjusted cable. Pete

    Dog, Brush and an A3

Thanks for these comments. The white ears-have read that. Jango also has one white eye. For now he does hear and see good-like he hears when we are gone (furniture eat) and see's items to ingest-like my boots and shoes! He came from the local Humane Society-the same place my last two came from...

    Dog, Brush and an A3

It will be a while before Jango is dressing' himself like that. Jango did a good job modifying my coach to give a spring probe when I sit on it. The tires on my truck are the Goodyear 395's. I really like them. Pete

    Dog, Brush and an A3

I have a new dog. His name is Jango (shelter dog Australian Shepard mixed with something that looks like a small German Shepard). He got his first ride to work today to gather a load of brush from spring cleaning. Jango rides high and proud in this beautiful (to me) truck. He has started to eat...
