I ended up ordering the landing gear shoe pictured below, off eBay for $39 shipped. It's supposedly from a M348 trailer and I don't think it's a direct fit, but it looks about right and it's the proper dimensions except for the I.D. of the pipe piece. I'll adapt it and make it fit...

Yeah, it's strange. I assumed that mine would either clear after yours, since my sale was 3 weeks after yours, or about the same time, since our submission dates were both 12/2. I was also surprised that mine cleared on a Friday. I think yours will be this week!

Well, the EUC finally cleared and the HEMTT recovery trip will be next week! I have a pickup appointment at 0800 hours next Tuesday, 2/9/16. We'll be heading out from CA two days before that, on Sunday the 7th. I've scheduled the time off at work and I've got a full-size rental van reserved...
Red line on the engine, 2100 rpm, equals 57 mph. So 55 is about the max. I've read a lot of posts on here about HEMTTs going 70+... Either the speedometer is in error, or the governor has been tampered with and the engine is being over-revved. I think this over-revving of the engine is one...
There's only about ~140 in private hands, spread out across the country... Unless you get lucky to find someone near you, you're probably going to spend a day driving to see one.

Those are just "road draft tubes", or crankcase vents if you prefer. They are supposed to be open, one hose to each valve cover. You should never really see anything coming out of them... Even a clapped out old Detroit will not generally show blowby there. The reason is that if combustion...

Sale date was 10/21, paid and EUC filled the next day. Considering that it wasn't sent to Battle Creek until 12/2, it didn't take as long as I predicted... Battle Creek took 8 weeks, GovPlanet 6 weeks. Now I'm excited to go GET MY HEMTT!!!

Well after reading the last 4 months or so worth of posts in this thread, I guess I am reassured that my first time EUC is on track and my waiting time is normal... I was starting to get a little worried. It's a HEMTT, item 652371.

Great parts list... Interestingly, although the TM says to use OE/HDO 40 oil, the Oshkosh manual for the 55000 series transfer cases says:
"Refill with motor oil conforming to API service SE-CC, SAE 50, (MIL-L-2104C). Do not use hypoid or E.P. gear lubricants. Avoid mixing different brands...
