Storm51, Thanks for the pictures, just what I needed. Looks like snake river is the only place for correct washers, I'm contemplating just using modern bolt, lock washer, and washer on the body panels. I am not interested in showing the truck as 100% period...
I could use some direction from you seasoned guys:
What are you or have you used as an alternative to the square lock washers for you body bolts? I have found lots of toothed lock washers and even some similar square lock washers but they look mighty aggressive and I am concerned they will...
Fort Campbell is about 2.5 hrs from the TN / GA line. Fort Campbell is on the northern edge of Clarksville,TN. My LZ is 80 miles south east of the base, I have plenty of room, but if you haul it to me its probably worth hauling home.
CTIS can be troublesome on the a2 variants, but there are some threads that cover most of the common issues the repair. The 939's are good trucks, you'll be glad you have it, though storing it 300 miles away doesn't sound good. At that distance you would never use it, it will take you 5 hours...
I shall resist the urge to prevent another from being reckless with his own life. But when he is reckless with an unwilling other, it is then I must act.
How would that apply to someone else's aircraft?
I'm with welldigger, they are a bit wide to haul around frequently, and unless the prices get below $3500, they aren't worth buying for a farm or hunting truck.
I'd love to have one, but not under the current restrictions and starting price mentioned.
I am glad to see officials making...
I second the air leak in the fuel line for cold start issue, had one that would lose prime in 15min. Try the primer plunger, pump until you feel fuel, if it starts right up you confirmed it.
Clean it up and look for oil dripping, hopefully driving high rpm's hasn't caused a bigger problem...
I congratulate you on a break even first year, no easy feat. I am interested in the trans fluid results, and your comments on how the truck handled the elevation changes.
Thanks for sharing.
Greetings from Murfreesboro, TN. This site has a forum that houses all of the common manuals for maintenance and repairs. If you run into trouble you can't figure out with a manual, the guys on here will bend over backwards to help. They get a little grumpy if you don't at least try to use...
Thanks for posting this, I was wondering how that jump seat worked.
Can anyone clarify the seat can only be used if the spare tire is removed? The seat seems kind of pointless if this is true.
