I had 4.8 tons of 5/8 crushed rock in mine last Saturday and the only time I put the transfer case in low was pulling a long grade. And that was transfer case in low running 4th and 5th gear to keep me at 30-35 mph.
The scale at the quarry was showing 23,640 Pounds..:oops:
I did have a winch...
I just pulled that adapter off my deuce for the 11.00's since I'm running 9.00's.

But Seriously, These vehicles take a lot of TLC and if you don't have time to educate yourself, then stay out from behind the wheel.
I use mine all the time... Get to work and back, haul wood, scrap, parades, static display @ the local Grange fair.... And also to get looks while driving through town.. :twisted::twisted::twisted:

I had wired up a "silence" button a while back. I'll have to draw up a diagram for it. It functions in a manner that the light and buzzer come on with low air then you press the button which silences the buzzer but allows the light to stay on. It stays in the "silence" mode till air pressure...
That also answers my question about where that vent line was supposed to go to. I build a fording kit but didn't like that my vent tube was still open. I even went as far as to remove the vent cap from master cylinder and tie it back in to the vent line. That mod was apparently the easy way...
