It's a good thing it happended in your drive, and not comming off a highway to a stop sign
or light at a busy intersection- lots of people have been hurt and even killed when
those brakes go- main reason I give more than I should in space in front of me when driving- learning for other peoples...
I was with 2 Armored Divison, 502 MP co, all we had were M35a2 nothing special, but before I was seperated - the Co. was going to get some V100 or V150s in its inventory way back then.
What I did was obtain another front and rear housings, gutted the inside and put in new
bulb sockets in its place, either by pop rivet and or sheet metal screws. And if you change
your mind, just change it back to the original housing and electrical set up..
The parts are availble at any...
The sending unit could be bad, or the wire from the sending unit to the guage is shorted.
Did you check the fluid levels before driving off, it could have been low and now it's needs
rebuilding. :roll:
I have known guys in the past do just that, but the up here it's the salt factor ( rusted parts) from the use
of road salt on the roads, distroys all metals that gets in contact with it. But down where your at,
it should not be a problem. :roll:
I have installed a few, available at auto parts store, but the only problem -
with the 2 different manufactures the keys are interchangable between
both of them ( its like a skeleton key) one key fits all. The switches were
placed betweenbatteries and I still lock the battery accesss door-...
Boy, are you in trouble now. I hope you don't have a girlfriend or wife ( because thay will feel rejected and with drawn not spending time with them). Your friends will look at you in a different way and wonder why? Your neighbors will think your crazy. You'll develop a need to buy anything...
Could be the injector pump, loosen one of the lines to the injectors a few times and determine if fuel is being pumped through the injector pump, there should be fuel coming
out of the loose threads ( don't remove entirely- just loosen a few threads) you'll notice
diesel fuel being forced out...
