I just wanted to say thanks to recovry4x4 for his help today and over the past few months. Today he helped me sling the M105 bed back onto my deuce and then helped sling my newly acquired front winch on. The previous owner of my deuce had pretzelled the front bumper to the point that the frame...

Really just depends on what you think looks right. I centered my rear axle on the M105 fenders. Some guys put a spare tire holder between the cab and bed and center off the bed. If you cut down the M35 bed it's really just a matter of what looks good to you.

I bobbed my deuce and it's on 49's. It has much better manners in town and I've taken it in some pretty nasty stuff with no issues. I've never run it in the snow and probably never will, due to the fact that it hasn't snowed around here since 1977, so I can't help you there. I agree that if...

I installed this and have had no problems. It has a 10.7 ounce resevoir and a clamp that tigtens it to the base. I mounted mine between the driver's seat and the door, like it shows, and it makes it super easy to check everytime.
As far as the "jiggles" I'd start by replacing the front shocks. It's relatively cheap and easy to do. If it doesn't cure the shakes it will at least cut them down a bunch. There are a couple posts on front shocks and the correct part numbers...

The axles were designed to "walk" back and forth during turning to lessen stress/prevent binding and breakage. Look at the ends of the leaf springs and you'll notice they have the ability so slide from side to side a few inches. Post some pictures and as long as it's not anything crazy...
I run 14.00R20's on mine with no problems. You'll find more information about this topic on the deuce modification and hot rodding page than on this one and a search will reveal the needed mods to run 53's.
As the WVO or WMO was taxed when it was initially purchased for it's primary use I don't see why or how it could be taxed again. I think if some one goes to the effort of making a stink about you trying to be green by running recycled fuel they have too much time on thier hands or really, really...
1 micron WMO is no issue. I've heard that in the cold whether the WVO and WMO can get a little thick and need to be cut with diesel or gas. I live in S. Florida so cold and snow related issues are not something I'm familiar with.
Those rivets are pressed in and usually need to be punched out to release the subframe. Also double check that you didn't miss any rivets or bolt. A couple of them are kind of hidden up in the corner of the frame bracket. The ones in the corners are a bear to punch out and I've found the...
I believe the Ouverson part number is #1007. I've attached the link to thier site.

Grizzly's looks like #YGLR2.5-16. I've attached a link to Complete Off Road for the grizzly locker.

The '68 should be multifuel but over a 43 year vehicle life there's no telling what could be under the hood now. Also I would change the fuel filters prior to purchase, due to the relative ease, and see if that cures the loss in power. I'd hate to buy that baby and it turn out to be something...
The current price of diesel in Afghanistan is $1.00 a liter or a little less than $4.00 a gallon.
