I never try to back or maneuver in tight spots without my Soldier B. I had the Boy Scout's trailer (a two axle ex toy hauler) on for the weekend and we had to pull out of a very over crowded parking lot at camp. Since we were the first unit to leave, everyone said I couldn't get out. After...
Get a cheapie home owner set up from Home Depot. Then grab a bottle of MAPP gas from the plumbing section. As others warned, be careful not to get too hot. try 15 seconds or so to start. It'll come out.
Then call George at White Owl to get another bolt.
Now I gotta ask soldier B how he managed to get the box seat out. I was working on the springer and sent him to the truck to pull it. A couple minutes later he was back.
Ended up putting it on the passenger side since I didn't want to loose the storage.
My truck had an alt when I got it, but I switched to George's dual alt kit. I simply hooked the alt main wire back up and used the exciter wire to control the relay for my 12 volt system.
Like I said, I have the wire diagram blown way up and laminated, I can bring it by and we can chase wires...
Why yes, your guess is correct, I missed the NOT WORKING part. My bad. If you swapped your genny for a one wire alt and now none of your gauges work, something went wrong. Probably something very simple (like something is grounded that shouldn't be)
If you don't get it sorted out soon, LMK...
Gawd I love my one wire alt. I have the wiring diagram blown up and laminated - makes it easy to trace right to the problem. Deuce charging system is pretty simple, I'm sure you'll figure it out.
Deuce is loaded, trailer is loaded and we are ready to roll -
to Idylwild for our Scout's Spring Camporee competition. Sure am gonna miss the flaming doughnuts and all the cleaning up, but raising up tomorrow's leaders is the weekend's priority.
Keep an eye on Brother Will - he shouldn't go...
I run the exact same set up except my filter bag is hung from the rafters on a rope with a small bungee to keep it from spinning. I pour from one bucket into the bag which hangs over another bucket.
My filter bag is 10 microns. I pre filter with a paint filter but I doubt if it does any good...
AND??
What about those who WANT to, but CAN'T? Who will be there for them? Who will intercept THEIR flaming doughnuts? You will drop THEIR M80s into the mine?
What will happen to the lost crews?
