The GL yards that I have been to are locked up. AND....when stuff comes up missing, MOST of the time it is because the GL site manager lets soldiers on the base come in and take what they want. I just had this discussion with a GL site manager who had 2 soldiers come tell him to let them in...

If you arent going UP and DOWN hills, you will be fine! You should be able to go 50-55mph. Make sure you pull the driveshafts though....it pulled much easier once I did that. The bad part is.....I have to go BACK to the same base in a couple weeks when my EUC clears so I can get my 2 M818s...

[thumbzup] So the moral of this story is.... One side has to be off the ground in order the spin the axle OR hub to get it to line up.

Good luck with that. When the axle is pulled, a small amount of tension is released & the holes will be off by a 1/2 inch or so. Unless you lift the other side completely off the ground....that shaft will not turn. Maddawg308 posted a step-by-step with photos on how to do this --->...

This is OBVIOUSLY a test of a possible market. I would assume that GL is trying this at 2 bases where major dealers buy a lot of trucks. It would make GL's life much easier if all truck sales went this way.....solely for the fact of reducing their workforce (no extra livechat, customer...
