...waiting for steel soldiers.....transferring data.....waiting for google ad......waiting for google adpage 2......transferring data.....
Does our page have to bee so complicated ?? Yes, there is no issue with T1 line, but with the aircard its discouraging: I can get a latte made during the...
Ok, decision made : gonna put the 109 box on the A3, get new data plates made w/ A4 info, move the clearance lights onto the box, should be all gooooood 8<)
So I had a 1966-ish M109 multifuel, got out of it and into a M1009 CUCV, now I'm getting out of the Blazer and into a '99 A3. I loooove the sound of that CAT purring 8<).
For my next project. I understand the deuce can pull the trailer, but I'd like to have lots of design margin = 5 ton. Just thinking for now.....gonna go look at at tractor...just look <wink>
I got a kick out of this : another customer sees my truck at the mechanic's. All around is a sea of OD green and tan MVs in various states of restoration / repair. In the middle is my Blazer, bright red. : "Its like a flower at the dump" he says .
I like it 8<)
I'm glad I didn't do it myself....those seals are wayyyyy in there. Just about everything has to come apart to R&R them. Kind of a dumb design. And alot of dirt comes out of those tubes. But now one more leak is fixed and I am happier with the truck. Tranny fluid leak is next.
I'm new to this, so I'm OK with you telling me I'm wrong. Everytime oil is transferred there is some spillage / leakage. Sop it up with rags, now I got oily rags to deal with. Everything has a film of oil on it, attracting dirt , so now everything is oily AND dirty. I'm willing to trade cargo...
Well, I just put $1000 maintenance into the CUCV including a rebuilt IP and it runs great. It starts, stops, everything works.....but now its leaking oil. I'm guessing rear main seal as its leaking out the little hole at the bottom of the bell housing. I really dont want to face pulling the...
So I started out with the newly aquired truck with a new fuel filter. 500 miles later the truck quit running. The filter was full of crud. Replaced it. Next day it quit running again. Filter plugged up again. Dropped the tank, rinsed out, blew out the lines, new filter, rebuilt injector pump...
I've been driving the 1009 like there is a raw egg under the accelerator pedal....this mornings fillup computes right at 20 mpg. I'm pretty happy with that.
