I have a M1061A1 trailer that needs to be brought out from Binghamton, NY to either Detroit or Findlay Ohio (for the Findlay Show).
This is a representative picture of an M1061A1. The bed is 8'x14' and weighs about 5850 pounds. Has air brakes and can be pulled by a Deuce, 5 Ton or similar vehicle.
TRANSPORTATION NEED: Binghamton NY to Findlay or Detroit Area.
If anybody is driving through the Binghamton NY area, I have an M1061A1 trailer that I need brought out. I live in Farmington Hills Michigan but I will also be going to the Findlay show. I could pick it up at either location.

You were a big help and I couldn't have done it without you. I would be taking the engine out in pieces and putting it in in pieces if i had to do it myself. Or rented a backhoe for a weekend... it would have been dangerous and horrible. I'm thankful to have a friend like you. Thanks bud!
How I...
Just a couple pictures of the engine swap. Glad its done. So if anybody needs engine parts, let me know. 3-ring LDS pistons/rings/liners with only 2000 miles going cheap!
So everything in a nut shell... I didn't change anything on how I did the builds. Honed the cylinders the same, oiled the...
I wonder what the rear motor mounts look like. I believe bell housings have SAE mounts that have 4 bolts/studs, then the "legs" mount to those to hang the engine in. If that was the case that somebody wanted to put a 6BT or other engine in a deuce, would they use the cummins bell housing with...
ALWAYS! Eventually you replace everything and repairs seem to slow down for a bit. They did for me anyway. That is why I wanted to do head gaskets. I would have to do them eventually, might as well do them now while I'm down on the ground getting beat by this truck. The tables are turning soon...
I cant find in the manual which way the oil control ring goes on the piston. It seems castellated or had raised parts on the rings on one side... similar to how a castle nut would be. The other side of the rings are smooth. Does anybody have insight as to the orientation on the piston? SEE...
Try pulling it forward a couple feet. the tandems will not always be in line as they have a little "wiggle room". driving in a straight line 10 feet or so should straighten them out. Your right front tandem tire looks bent or something. Check all of your suspension to see if anything is bent though.
With mine, I had no signs at all of head gasket leakage. I had two other people look at it and no signs of leakage on the gasket or the surfaces.
I really really hope you had better luck than me. What is your plan for a break in procedure?
You have the new style LDS pistons with 2 compression rings and one oil ring, right? I hope you had better luck than I did. I wish i was there to see you fire it, test drive and look for blowby. I would also do a leak down test on your engine. It just bugs me with all the work I did, I couldn't...
They advertise on this site and this is how they treat their customers? I say boot them out for a month and kick user name "Country" (Dave) off the board too. Dave is the guy that makes posts here telling people in the parts wanted adds that he has the parts they are looking for but will cost...
I just got an email from Steve who is the General Manager at Eastern Surplus who said that their description and part numbers on their site are correct when they are clearly not even when I corrected them with the TM. If the description is correct that it fits LDT pistons as well as LDS...
With head gaskets, i thought with the amount of miles I put on it, I want the upgraded ones. Since i was that far, pulling pistons is easy. Plus I had the rings but I later found out that the rings were not a complete set with one cylinder being different from the others. I am still waiting on...
