I made an almost identical trip from Aztec NM back here. I ended up coming through Amarillo, Fort Worth and down I-45.... Drive wasnt too bad, I-40 was empty when I came through, and most of the truckers were accommodating to my 55 top speed.

honestly, I'd probably look for a take-off bumper to get fixed up... a bow in the metal like that is now a weak point and may crack or completely break off in the even of another whoopsiedoodle.
I had the old solid-state flasher, and swapped to the newer one, and also snagged a new turn signal lever, and now my LEDs work great. My temporary fix was to remove the bulb from the switch and manually flash it. but that got old quick :?
