I was in Dallas Wed, and saw a B-29 taking off and doing a circle of the city it must have been this plane, very thin profile and very impressive to see flying!!!
I purchased a M105A3 cargo trailer a few months ago and have just started looking at it for a pull behind for my M1008. With the 3.5 in lift and running 37 inch tires it sits about level and is a slick trailer! But I would like to pull it behind a 5 ton as well and I don't want to trade out...
I think at least two of them are tow adapters, the one with the pintle is an extension, maybe for a tracked vehicle? Nice haul on the blocks, they come in handy!
Great looking machine and it runs. How did you run up on such a unmolested beauty. All the ones I have seen have been Bubbarized by the power company or some shade tree mechanic!
Of the two wreckers I have the 936 is faster and easier to handle but when it comes to maint. issues and ease of maint./repairs the M543A2 comes out way ahead, a simple, robust and just great all around machine!
Once I get some repairs done and a new tire on it the trailer will pay for itself in six months, I am renting a storage locker for $50 a month. With this new little trailer that is going away and I will have 24 hour access!
Mine is a 3/4 ton with a 8 foot bed, I don't know how low it is geared but if I run it over 45 miles an hour my fuel use drops to about 4 miles a gallon???
