Be sure to adjust the valves a couple times after the rebuild. I rebuilt mine this year with new pistons, liners and new heads. After I re-torqued my heads, I found the valves were tighter. I would adjust them after you re-torque the heads and again maybe a couple hundred miles later as well...

I do not have the original pin because that one broke when I first used the winch... it broke just pulling my truck. I replaced it with a grade 2 bolt. It is not correct but I also use my head when I use the winch. When i have and sliver of doubt, I always use the snatch block. Its big and heavy...

I'd also like to say it takes about 2 gallons of paint to cover a M925 or M923 in one color.

Nope, I did it all frame on. Just takes time to get detail work. Anybody can paint one but it depends how much detail you want to do and how nice you want it.

I see a double check valve in the system, not sure if I need one of those or not? Can I use an air system diagram of an M818 and use that as a reference to install mine?

I like to adjust the valves and see where they are at. Pushing down with a wood block is only going to cause clearance at one end or another... like a teeter totter (spelling?). its the cheapest thing you can do and a good PM activity.
