Normally the Dash is the easiest place. The drivers frame rail behind the steering box a bit . Should be stamped in the frame. Sometimes they get filled with dirt or paint and get hard to see.
I could be wrong. But I wonder if the mep-005a has a fuse like the mep-002a does. If so it could be blown. I would say look at the DC side in the TMsschematics.
A few years ago. there was a recovery wrecker made out of a M920 that had a front winch on it ( It was sold on GL). There was pictures on here . Just not sure where.
We had a member on here a few weeks ago that had that exact problem. His Shutter Stat was presureizing his coolant system and forcing coolant out of his engine. So it is possible.
Mine use to peg. I found out I had a bad spot on either VR12 or VR15 so I would turn them a turn to the left. then to the right. then back to center then my voltage was 240.
I am looking for some input . I had bought 1 generator that was reset at 2.4 hrs ( Seems like a common hr time for them) It had 8 hrs on it when I bought it. Turned out to be a problem child and It took a lot to get it fixed. What have you guys seen out of them ? Was I just a odd duck with that...
