Ive seen a similar installation on an M35, pre- retirement. The unit cut the troop seat, and left the front section so it wouldn't fold down, and used the box for additional seating if needed.
Moose, The 8.3 Cummins is just an 8.3 Cummins. All the toys fit each other. And the Marine 813s had lockers, the Army ones (mostly) didn't. I dont kow about the 916s, I believe, except for the Allison, and they are all the same. May be the manufacturers. Some made by Freightliner, some by AMG.

808, your supposed to crank it with the fuel off before starting, anyway, just to make sure you dont have a hydro lock condition. And always better to crank for pressure on a fresh oil change. Hope you dont have anything serious going on there.
