Expanding on my earlier post.
Shaved the paint down to bare metal on the cluster and applied copious amounts of this 2 in 1 bond and sealer stuff and put the clust in its hole. Weighed it down with some batteries. Plan to leave it like that till Monday.
I'm not familiar with all of this but my edumacated guess would be grounding causing the gp controller to restart along with the rf interference from the wiper motors might be causing it to give false temp readings in turn activating the gp's. As far as the wiper freezing in the up position...
Started working on the dash today. Pending rain for the weekend and next week has put a damper on painting some more. As I was cutting the dash I could feel the disturbance in the purist hearts knowing a good 818 dash was being modified to accept a 939 instrument cluster.
I have one more cut to...

You could defiantly pull it to AZ. If you have a medium duty towbar that will do it just fine, especially with your rig. I have a class 5 pintle, 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, don't know if your rig has a class 5 and your just using a reducer. A set of tow lights and air connected to the truck and your...

What is your time frame for working on it?

Would you provide the tow to the storage location or would you need it towed also?
There are a couple of us around the area but kinda need a...

We live in a time of social media, and whinny people on the west coast.
The fact that there were injuries is what makes it a...
Doesn't take much speed to do that. I think the better question is why wasn't the engine shutdown pulled, parking brake pulled up to offer some resistance.
This actually made it on facebook on US Army WTF Moments page.
Glad there were no serious injuries.
What does the primer look like? I've fired blanks that didn't expand so you can't always rely on that. Sometimes the epoxy doesn't set on the end and the powder will fall out rendering the blank a nice noise maker.
Correct, you can use the 939A2 series on the 809 & 939/A1 series but not the other way around.
All 939A2 series PCB's are interchangeable, it's the 809 and 939/A1 series that aren't. From what I understand it has to do with the fuel shutoff solenoid on the 8.3.
