This is always said a bunch but it really does help....... Read all the tech manuals and printed info on the vehicle. I'm not trying to be an a-hole but it really does help and make a difference. I've learned a lot from reading the manuals when I have some slow time at work or when I'm...
Yeah. When I dealt with him earlier this year, I had an awesome experience! He and a couple of the other guys that work with him were great. I ended up sending GL an email about my experience.
Sounds good to me. The bill deals with registering military vehicles and the whole CDL conflict with the larger ones. I can email you a copy or give you an actual hard copy of the draft.
Btw....... Keeping on track with this thread. I plan on meeting with Representative Hammer while I'm home for the Christmas Holiday and finding out when the MV bill draft will be brought up to the transportation committee. When I find out, I'll post it here and anyone is welcome to come out...
I'm going to attempt to hang out with some of our northwest members while I'm here. I plan on making a visit to Stalwart to check out his HEMTT and some of his other MVs. I'm also going to attempt to go up to a really awesome parts guy and see if I can't snag some goodies to bring home when I...
Great score!!! I was watching all those lots. I really wanted the 101 with the generator. I was also eyeballing that 932 and those cucvs but I don't get home until the 18th and I didn't have a nice warm fuzzy feeling from the pics so I passed. I did try and attempt to get my wife to go and...
Welcome to the site!!! It's great to see another Arkansan on here. I'm in the central Arkansas area but at the moment I'm working in Oregon until June/July of next year. I do get to come home here and there. You're more than welcome to come on by later this month when I come home for 2...
I can't find my list.... But read through the stickies in the CUCV forum along with the Wiki. That should help you out some more. And of course the whole read the TMs and use the search function applies :)
I have a list of threads that I looked at when I got my M1009. Let me see if I can find it and PM it to you. They are useful and answer a lot of questions.
You are somewhat confused. When folks are talking about converting to 12 volt, they are talking about everything. You need to realize that the only thing 24 volt is the starter. Now the glow plugs feed off the 24 volt system through the resistor bank on the firewall which drops the voltage...
The replacement that I got from a fellow member is now leaking. I'm going to pull it when I get home and have some time. I'll try and see if it is salvageable, if not I'll pick up one from Autozone. I will be removing the battery and holder plus the glovebox to make it easier to remove.
Cool. Yeah I'm in Hermiston working at Umatilla Depot at the chem demil plant until June/July next year. I do get to go home for 2 weeks around Christmas :) I may take you up on your offer. It will just depend if I feel like driving that far :)
Anyone got anything going on this weekend or next? I'm not working those 2 and since I'm 2,000 + miles from my MVs, I figured I could oogle over some one elses :)
Welcome to the site!! AND THANK YOU for your many years of service. I purchased a nice M923 earlier this year from Leonard Wood. GL Dave is a great guy to deal with.
Looking sharp!! I did the digicam for my seats on my deuce as well. At some point I'll get around to using my leftover fabric to make
some shift boots. You'll have to come out to Petit Jean next Fall or the convoy this spring.
