Windshield Wipers! Gentlemen, What I am trying to figure out here, is which way to jump with the a new wiper set up! When I replaced the leaky fuel pump on my M37, I replaced it with a modern fuel pump. The old style pump provided vacuum to run the wipers, the new pump doesn't provide vacuum...

    Are "original" winches available?

Winch? milsurp, Yes, winches are available but are pricey! They add a whole lot of weight to the front end. If your M37 didn't have a winch already on it, there are a lot of parts to add one!

Some cool info (at least to me) on my new 1953 M37.

Translation milsurp, Your m37 is a 1954, the delivery date is the correct year. The radio is really your generator/regulator on the driver side of the firewall. You should find a serial number stamped in the drivers side of the frame between the steering box and the front spring bracket...

    Torture Test?

How Hot? milsurp, The type of hardtop I have doesn't have the sliding rear window like the later style, and is a little warmer in the summer. The hardtops are preffered in the colder Winters up here in the Great Lakes! I have enclosed an older picture of my M37-B1 with the early syle...

Windshield Size? Cranetruck, I have been told that the windshield glass on the M35 is the same size as the M37, and the two are interchangeable? If this is true, then the wiper arm and blade set up should work the same on either truck!? :?: Since you have both trucks in your...

    bed wood

Tough Wood? If you can't find some nice oak for a replacement, try using Black Locust. It is used by farmers for fence posts because of it's rot resistance, and it is a very dense and heavy wood!

    First Parade!

Hardware? Mike_L, No, I am going to have to do the rear brakes and seals etc. first. I'll probably have to wait until Spring, to hunt down the missing troop seat parts! I have mechanical things that need priority before the snow flies! I did the front axle in time for the above mentioned...
