    M35a3 owners forum

Kevin, Don't worry, if you don't offend someone here at least once, you're not posting anything. I'm a hop skip and jump from Fort Lewis. We should compare notes over cheeseburgers one of these days. Jerry

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

Gimpy, Ya, I know about the beadlocks being a different size. I'm at that point where I'm about to take my first 395 and put it on my a3 rim. I'd actually say removing the beadlock from the a3 tire was easier than removing it from the fmtv tire. Now as for installing it..... For everyone...

MRAP wheels and tires on a deuce?

Hey! I want some plates! I'll even donate the wheels. Though right about now, after finishing the tire removal from those puppies, I might give a go at melting them all down! You are a bit far though. P.S. No tractor. Me strong like bull, smart like tractor.

    M35A3 TECH Questions and Comments

AMX, last I heard from cm automotive, they will happily work with you on fixing your ctis system. Their president had sent me an email about a request I had to them about troubleshooting the one bad valve I have. They said send it in, they will rebuild it, all I had to do was pay for shipping...

    M35A3 TECH Questions and Comments

I use whatever dishsoap is hanging out where I can get to it. I use a 24 oz spray bottle from home depot and just cover the bottom with soap. The general rule of thumb is any soap will bubble, the more soap, the bigger the bubbles. And never think twice about asking me anything. I'm not the...

    M35A3 TECH Questions and Comments

Holy crap that's a drive! Congrats Kevin. Leaking wheels- what I have seen so far is look near where the rim nuts are, and you can see between those and the lug nut holes a split where the two hub join. Hit that with soapy water. if your 20 inch seal is out, you're going to see leaks. Then...

can we have a new forum called the "Pin Up Room"?

But Fab, you did stir up the hornets nest! I haven't seen this many fast posts in a long time. Wait, last time was when I broke down and everyone was right there helping out. That's why I love this site.

can we have a new forum called the "Pin Up Room"?

Indy4x4fab, I think you are going to find that your idea is going to get shot down. Not because it's a bad idea, or even that it's dirty. It's because this site is geared more towards family oriented content. I love the pics of nearly naked women with MV's and guns. I think it's another...

    Daily Driver Project

Hey Oldman! I'm bumping this one in the hopes you have something started here. I'm taking a m35a3 and trying to make it more street smart too! Slightly larger tires, dropping an axle and maybe a weather seal here and there. That'd be nice, not raining inside the truck! In any case, keep up...

    The Epic Separation

Thank you for your service. Things to do. Stop in Cody Wyoming at the Ponderosa campground. Tell them Jerry sent you, and they might not kick you out right away. They will tell you all the cool things to do in Cody, but stop at the firearms museum. Train horn? have they not heard the...

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

Gimpy, lol... someone finally got it! Bm. he he he. But yes, my arms feel like they went to war. I haven't even moved them to the a3 rims yet. I had to find a bigger breaker bar. Holy crap those rim nuts are tight on the a3! Ya, I heard about the 395 debate. It's a fascinating debate...

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

Ok, not so much a question, as a new thread about changing tires and my lovely experience with them. First off, bought 8 395's out of texarcana mounted on 10 lug hemmt wheels. The goal is to have these tires on my m35a3 for two reasons. One, improve top speed about 5 mph. It will make...

    transfercase reversal/ 5 and 5 deuce tranny

I have a question or two here. So I understand the thought of reversing the transfer case to change the gear ratio. And if the goal is to improve gas mileage, then wouldn't you need to know the exact point of maximum torque/minimum rpm and base your preferred speed to exactly that? Then in...

    Pressurized Axles?

One quick note, I had something similar on my M35A3, BUT it wasn't pressure, it was vacuum. The cap worked beautifully on venting, but not so good on allowing air back in. Just a thought.
