Deuce has a low air leak

First, let me claim NOT to be an expert. What I can say is that every single time I fix a leaky hydraulic/air system it breaks somewhere else with the "new" pressure until I have replaced every component in the chain. Might just be me. Just in case it's not though, the first thing I'd...

    Just to say Thank You

Congrats and welcome to the 109 club! Which winch did you install? Front or back, because I heard a rumor you can tail install a winch and that might be my next mod....

Suggestions Wanted! Your Input Is Welcome!

What's the trouble we keep having with the old site? I work at an ISP in utah, I can probably host something for you...

    Hello

DrGreg, oh absolutely very few m911's. But lots of opportunity to look at similar classes and types of vehicles. It was a recommendation made to me and I learned a lot by going. I even figured out I didn't want to buy a m35a3 unless I liked flat tires... :-D

    Hello

Hey Rafe, Keep in mind you are in prime territory for buying trucks. You've got options, including a GL auction, Eastern supply, our own classifieds, and a number of dealers heading west of you. OSHKOSH is awesome, love those guys and I can't find anything wrong with their gear, though I...

    Hello

Welcome. Being a new guy myself, there is SO much to read here that helps. Mostly reading about how much of a pain GL is to buy from, but lots of technical stuff too! Good Luck! What I found was the least expensive deuce to buy was the m109a3, in terms of raw cost. So I bought one. Next I...

    My first MV- m109a3

Update- WOW! I've got the deuce licensed and insured (Thank you Geico!) so it's been on the road for a few days. She's a runner. Speedo hits 60-62 on the flats so with tire size change that should be 65-67mph. Not really smoking, so running that evil low sulfur stuff really works. Fixed...

    Pimary Filter Housing Removal

Must be the day for fuel filters. I just took mine off and replaced it with a spin on from Napa. My drain wasn't working on the stock one. I actually took off the fuel lines and removed the filter with the bracket on it. That's when I discovered it had been vice gripped on the fuel lines...

    My first MV- m109a3

Dude, you will note your avatar is wearing the traditional brown coat, and I'm wearing the mauve browncoat. Totally different.

    My first MV- m109a3

I'm really loving my 109. I sat in the engine compartment wrenching on it yesterday thinking how simple it was to work on. Now I'm playing find all the zerk fittings game.

    My first MV- m109a3

Indeed it was. I was bringing it home, or taking it in to work for one of my workers to check out, since he was a former mechanic on them. Now that all the safety gear is working, I will have to finish the registration.

    My first MV- m109a3

Paint, and a little muscle. Maybe a heater if it stays in Utah... Here's the pics rotated and cropped. My apologies, they looked ok on my screen, but that does explain why my chair is on the wall....

Thanks for the welcome. Here you go Bad Carp! More to come.

    My first MV- m109a3

Answered my own question. The reason the steering was "sticky" is because the steering box was completely drained. Much happier now with a quart of gear oil.

    My first MV- m109a3

Thanks to some great advice and information from the site here, I have acquired a M109A3. I'm also going to give a big thank you to Mark Boyce out in Ogden where I picked it up from, took very good care of me and answered my 5000 newbie questions and it only cost me a case of beer. I'll miss...

    Headed to Barstow 3/8

Ryan, Thanks, that's great information. I was looking at transport cost, and it was ugly. I'll bring a full tool kit with me, and probably some filters, a roll of duct tape, and some safety wire. Jerry

    Headed to Barstow 3/8

Ryan, Thanks for the update. I'm actually looking at buying one of the a3's, and it's my first venture into having a MV. I know I'm asking a lot, but would you consider any of the A3's roadable? I would like to try driving one home, even though it's Utah. Any and all advice is welcome! Jerry

Looking to find out transport costs?

Looking into buying a m816 and trying to find out what it's going to cost me to transport it. Might be 300 miles, might be 1600. And if buying from a GL auction, what can I expect to be able to get it home? Thanks all! BadMastard
