    Tow Baring a CUCV

Crash_AF; When you say highway speeds, I was planning on towing about 55 for my comfort and not to push the drive train too hard?

    Tow Baring a CUCV

On the 1008 is the engine or the differentials the limiting factor on how fast you can travel? I tend to drive about 50mph in mine sometimes 55 if I don't pay attention, but some talk of 60 and 65?

    M936 wrecker ownership

I have a M543A2(1967) with the multi-fuel engine, and it is a hog on fuel and slow on the hills and if I get over 45mph in it, it can get pretty scary, but I do love it! And the crane is great, very articulate and reliable.

M939 Series Air Brake Cage Bolts

Looks like I should replace mine, yours are a lot prettier than mine! My middle axle has parking brakes by Anchorlok, and I am short the two bolts for them, so off to the truck parts store for me, I hope they aren't some odd ball arrangement!

    M932 For $1892!

Are you in a little town north of Shelby, I was heading to New Orleans two years ago and saw a salvage type yard just off the highway in the middle of a small town, lots of 900 series parts and pieces along with trailers and a lot of tires! You are just too far from me!

    M932 For $1892!

Mine is not in mint condition but it has been stored inside for the last few years so no rust at all, the stack is gone removed during shipping(and tossed by forestry) the air intake was shorten by 3-5 feet(brush truck) the hard top is gone, no doubt moved to another in the RFD's fleet, the...

    M932 For $1892!

The ones I have seen with winch have been well over three grand(if lucky) and you don't know what you are getting on GL, maybe a little better on GSA but only if the yard guy wants to tell you. The other side of this is the yard is only 80 miles from me, and even if the truck was toast the...

Got my ex-brush truck home today! Tried to tow bar it home, no dice rears all locked up, so hooked up a couple of batteries, built up pressure(kind of) squealed for about thirty yards, hooked up my 818 and drove home, really a nice ride, bigger cab and smooth shifting! Now all I need is...

    M932 Recovery?

I have a heavy rock breaking bar with a blunt end so I can try the shock them loose, the Tcase handle is flush with the floor and will not budge, I had to wave off a big forestry guy who was trying to strong arm it! I intend removing the front and rear drive shafts, which should be fun now that...

    M932 Recovery?

The 818 has good brakes but I am going to take a couple of extra batteries to see if I can start the truck, the forestry guys believe it was driven in, the odd part was the brake you can see on the dash that is square and yellow says push in for off and pull out to set, it is out all the time...
