Re: RE: Missing fuel compensator on Multifuel...
I understood the gist of it, but didnt know if there was anything the unit had to do with timing. I was planning to try a mix of oil/diesel since my shop manager gave me the ok to raid the oil cans, as long as he could drive the truck once I...
Winding down to picking up my new Deuce, and getting damn excited about it. Orderd some new parts for it already, and planning a week-long project with it for spring break the following week. The truck I'm buying doesn't have a fuel compensator on it, so I'm assuming the previous owner...
Got my kit, which looks awesome (save for the missing paint on the poles, courtesy of UPS and crappy packaging), and now, I realize I have no instuctions or installation guide to help me out. I'm a crafty guy, and sure I can figure most of it out, but does anyone have an "official" guide or...
Atleast here in Texas, amber, red and white are usually overlooked (as long as the red or white are hide-away strobes in your brake or headlights) on most construction vehicles... Amber is universally regarded as DOT/safety lighting, not for any type of authority.
And to update the original...
Re: RE: Wonder if Continental will let me bring this...
well I'm buying my truck from a board member her, so I'd say that's as close as someone can be to my truck  I have to bring clothes in checked baggage anyway, so might as well throw some stuff in there. I'm just worried about...
Some basic tools that are a little high-dollar, like a 1/2" drive torque wrench/breaker bar combo, etc.. Flying out to pick up my truck in a few weeks, and dont need to buy another set for the drive home. Continental's going to love me when I show up at the airport.
Was browsing through their website and found some clean trucks and such. Thought about giving them a call about a trailer (or a truck later this year). Never hear their name on here, so figured I'd ask.
RE: Re: RE: any gereen iron places in dallas texas?
that's funny about the rally on the 4th... I should be driving through on my way home to Houston after picking up my new Deuce in New Mexico the night before.. I'll try to make it in time, but no guarantees
Did you look under the hood? When I saw the truck about 3 weeks ago, I looked right at the turbo with my own eyes... unless someone went and ripped the truck apart since then
yeah, i sent him an email that it was too much of a project. I bought Area52's truck, and picking it up in a few weeks.
I did look at Mike's $2100 truck, and it was for sure a turbo, I looked right at the turbo. Maybe we are looking at 2 different trucks. The ad i found was on Craigslist...
what did you pay for the truck, if you dont mind me asking? I'm thinking that the 5-tons are going to keep steady trickling out until they're flooded like the deuces, so I have some time to find one I like, for sure.
well, I'm jealous! After seeing some pics of a 5-ton next to a deuce, I fell in love... time to get the Deuce home and settled, and start looking for an 813 or 923 in the next 8 months
Well, not much in search, but think I found what I was looking for. At the suggestion of another member, and "easier" answer is to look into aircraft intercom systems. The one I believe I'm going with is the Sigtronics SPA-4S, stereo headsets w/audio inputs and voice-activated PTT. Question...
