I know this has been discussed a few times here, and I'm a little lazy tonight (nursing a 2nd degree burn on my 4th bottle of IPA).. Just curious what those who have restored their trucks (DeucesWild, breenlanr, Bjorn, etc) have used or would suggest using for a repaint job.. I have a few...
you could rig up something like in many new cars now... amber/orange LEDs that "project" down from overhead consoles or rearview mirrors to dimly light the interior could be rigged on the steering column and face your gauges... In my BMWs and Ridgeline you dont notice the lighting at all until...
Murphy's Law bit me again. Not a big issue though, this time. After the truck sat for a few days, my fuel gauge is on the fritz. It will read the correct level, but when the truck is running, it's all over the place. I'm wondering if there's some wire I need to check, or start replacing parts...

Thanks for the real welcome finally guys! I had to drive it to work today since my truck was still at the airport and my dealership did a backflip when they saw the truck.. my previously-aggrivated manager was all smiles today when he got to sit in it :D
Also, good to notice that the leak...
We didn't plan on sleeping at all, but we were both dozing off before we even hit Tucumcari, so we pulled over for an hour.
The oil leak looks like its just getting massively pushed out of the turbo vent tube, the fender on that side under the hood and inside the wheel well is soaked, as well...
Yeap, 1100 miles, 23 hours drive-time/40 hours total time, and several pit stops later, I made it back to Texas with area52's Deuce and M200A1 trailer. Man, what a trip. I probably wouldn't do that again if someone paid me, but it was fun and definately an adventure.. from the 13 degree...
