It was used, but it may have been NOS taken from another truck. It is in great shape without even the slightest rip or hole.
I can check the numbers on it when I visit my deuces next (two weeks), but you can call Ken before that and find out what he has.
He has anything you could ever need...
Doesn't everybody??? ****, now you're making me feel like a perv. Wife and I recently did some camping and slept in the back with an air mattress. Hey, the more she loves the deuce, the better my chances of bringing home an m109.
It definitely looks bigger with the cover on. I think I'm...
I am going with the Behr premium on the bed over the rustoleum rusty metal primer. I have not yet decided on the gillespie or the behr for the rest of the truck. I'll see how the bed comes out first.
Here is Mike/wsucougarsx formula for 383 CARC
Home Depot - Base = Behr Premium Plus...
I am still in disbelief over how much fun you can buy for $2k. I feel like I stole something from the government. A giant (for me) 10 wheel drive truck that can haul, perform well offroad, and yet is classy enough to take to car shows and parades. There is something about driving down the...
Awesome advice. I called today and they do in fact carry gillespie paint in stock. Anyone in the tri state area that wants to save on hazmat fees should call them.
Thank you kvflyer!
I think there is only one unanimous decision. We all need three deuces.
I really like the "pickup" look of the naked deuce. Yet, I want to keep the troop seats for watching fireworks and other events and I want to keep the cargo cover to use the deuce as a love shack for camping.
I guess...
I have a cover, bows and troop seats. Yet, this weekend I stripped her down to paint the bed and I have to say, I love how my deuce looks with nothing. Not to mention it was a dream to drive and park like this.
How do you guys prefer to dress your deuce?
Mikey
I was a busy boy. I tested my winch. Had not tried it yet since I recovered the deuce from GL. It was bone dry on both sides, so I filled her gear oil, checked the shear pin and tested her. Success.
I also started repainting the deuce. I got the back of the bed sanded and primed with...

You cant use a view to comment ratio to substantiate your viewpoint. Thus far 100% of comments overwhelmingly oppose your idea.
This site is about MV's. Nobody here, for the most part, dislikes beautiful scantily clad women and oiled up in sexy positions. However, if we want to view...
I replaced the tank without issue. Thanks everyone for the tips. The in tank pump looked fine. The strainer was in good condition, the hose looked brand new and the pump was on the lowest depth setting.
The idea to buy new strap bolts was a great one. The original bolts were so covered in...
Looking nice!!!
I'm on the fence about painting mine this summer.
Looks like you used Gillespie spray cans?
What kind of prep work did you do?
Anything you would have done different in hindsight?
I'm considering power wash, degrease, wire brush rust, rustoleum red metal primer, scuff...
You nailed it. Within a week of getting my deuces home I changed the fuel filters to spin ons. When I removed the filter housings, they were fulled with rust at the bottom.
Additionally, the leak is coming from under the support bracket, so you nailed that too. I'll be able to assess how bad...
There should be posts towards the end of that thread from Paulfarber about the zipper boots. If I'm mistaken, I know he described the process in another thread, so shoot him a PM.
