My fuel tank is leaking. I am going to replace it Friday. I bought a tank from Kublo's Surpluss for $80 without the pump.
The process seems simple, a whole 4 pages from TM 9-2320-209-20-3-1 (4-29 - 4-32).
Are there any suggestions, tips or tricks you guys with experience can provide me...
Last weekend I tried the gallon of paint from home depot referenced in my previous post:
Home Depot - Base = Behr Premium Plus Exterior Flat, Matte Deep Base #4300
Colorant............. OZ... 384th
AX-Perm Yellow... 2....... 68
D-Thalo Green...
I have the PA biodiesel centrifuge also. What are you using to clean the tar/crud from the inside of the fuge? I tried dawn and a brillo pad with no luck. Brake cleaner maybe?
thx
Mikey
No rounding, although I didn't ask them for that. It took me less than an hour to round them all with my angle grinder and 80 grit sandpaper...
I'm going over the entire surface tomorrow with 120 grit, then prime and paint.
Just an FYI for NJ members, I just had a sawmill cut me 10 stakes from oak. They charged me $6.20 per stake.
L 45"
W 2 3/8"
T 7/8"
It was an easy decision for me. $62 to have 10 oak stakes cut to exact specs or a full day of f'ing around with my table saw (i like measuring once and cutting...
I bought a gallon of this today:

PM me when you are ready to get some tested. Perhaps since you are in NY we can meet somewhere and split some pre filtered wmo. You can run it through the wolverine, and I can run it through my PA biodiesel fuge. We can then each send a batch out to get tested. I think we would really have...
Thanks again everyone for the replies. Both problems are solved. I have the new fuel line on order and I'm picking up the 9/16 hex socket at sears for $7..
In the interest of curiosity, I'm attaching pictures of the broken hose and my attempt at the 9/16 hex solution. I'm not a welder and I...
The return fuel line is rubber. I don't know the proper terminology for the end pieces, but I assure you the end that broke is unusable and I cannot even remove the broken portion without cutting the hose. For $16 I'd rather get a new one than to try my luck fixing this one.
I am not a...
Thanks all. I will not do anything careless. I just wasn't sure if the return line always flowed fuel. I will not start the deuce until I have the new hose.
I found a new hose for $16 shipped. I'll order the hose and move on. That'll also give me time to order the freakin 9/16th hex bit...
What a crappy day. While installing spin on fuel filters, my fuel return line broke at the filter end. The brass piece broke which attaches to the threaded brass end.
Can the end be repaired / replaced? Do I need a new fuel return line? Is there a NAPA part# for the fuel return line or do I...
