    I don't see a plug on the back of the block ?? Unless its down inside the tranny boltup area of the block ( sorry to many years since I rebuilt my 230 )

    In this pic you can ( barely ) see how the center of the plugs are punched in to seal/seat them to the block.

    Heating the M37

    The ( correct ) fender mounted heaters for the M-37's are hard to come by and $$ Or ( as already mentioned), you can retro one of these to fit in the cab Jeep Heater

    Ditto on coil resistor. Some vehicles use a coil with a internal ( built in ) resistor, some use a external ( ceramic ) resistor ( usually mounted on firewall ) and some use a resistor wire ( supply) lead.

    You brushed with "Latex" paint which is a waterbased paint/emamel., you can clean up ( wet) latex paint with just soap and water! Gillespie is a alkyld ( Oil ) based paint/enamel., You clean/reduce it with a petrouleum (oil) based distillete You might want to read up a little more on paint...

    My Buddy shot his Gama Goat reducing it with Mineral spirits and it came out great. I've used Naptha and also Xylene on my other 3 trucks that I painted with same results.

    Its on the can This paint is Gellespies series 11 enamel, you can use Mineral spirits ( slow dry ) Napha /VM&P ( Med dry ) or Xylene (faster dry). If your going to use a hardener than I would use Xylene.

    If you can get this truck for under $2k than ( I think ) its a great deal., As mentioned she's in really good/complete shape. On second thought...maybe you should give me their ph # and address so I can go look at it in person and give them...er..YOU a better opinion of what its worth :whistle:

    686A should be a two part carc paint. I painted my Land Rover Lightweight with 686B ( single part carc ) which is less volitle. Long story short yes its the correct color for Gulf war. I read that 686 was copied from the british desert tan to replace our Tan color we had at the time. I had...
