I think if you clean it up either with a file or a burr bit you'll be fine. Put a light coating of Grey or black silicone on the outer flange to be sure.

Mine gets louder also above 100 psi. Almost sounds like the compressor has a rod knock. I happen to have other trucks (not MV's) around that have the 8.3L and they all have similar, increasing noise levels over 100 psi from the compressor. The odometer range from 140k trash trucks that run 6hrs...

New air dryer is on the short list, draining the air tanks I do all the time but never get any water out. I reckon it's about the moisture in the air though.

Just to follow up, the ambient temps climbed to 55* F today! Yeaaaaa, all the snow's gone! My over pressure issue and air leak at the pressure protection valve have both resolved themselfs without any action.

Just add pressure protection valve added at the end. Might make someone else's searching easier.
