Couldn't ya swing the boom to the side, hook low on a tree and pull the cable in to raise the far side tires off the ground?
Then just reverse that proceedure for the other side? Never fooled with one so I don't know what they can and cannot do.

Check with Don at Spruce Mtn Surplus, Premium Genuine Issue U.S. Military Surplus. Including, United States Army, U.S. Navy and U.S.M.C. New Old Stock, Current Issue And Also Some Used. and has already been suggested...replace both...eventually the older one will drain down the newer.

There's almost as many reasons as there are deuces. I like the fact that I can own a piece of military history, use it when the opportunity presents itself and have it bring me and other people many fond memories.
I'd say the deuce is as easily recognizable a piece of military equipment...
