Gimpy, I have mine on the front of my bed on the passenger side because I have a dropside also. I tie mine down to the pass. side lifting shackle but roll down the window a little first if I am going to need to use the passenger door. It clears ok with the window down about 1/2 way if I recall. BC

Yes, replace both and while you are at it, check and clean the check valve and also your pressure relief valve. When you have everything back together test your check valve. BC
