I have Delco 15G's in mine self regulating. You need glowplugs with the bullet connectors, not spades. The box with the two big connectors is the protective control box. You have the little chain on the test port of the protective control box? That's the one I Have also from eriks. Hopefully...
NEVER use ether again. That virtually guarantees new glow plugs needed. I'd start by checking the glow plug harness continuity per the TM. If you used ether at all on the new plugs, check them with an ohm meter. Possible you got a bad controller or protective control box. Which glow plugs did you...
I bought the two rights and a divider, I too would like to know exactly where to mount the brackets. I don't see any bolts in the area, so I assume I have to drill holes?
Yeah, lots of black residue. What do you suggest for cleaning? I'm assuming here this is the only part that's fried, I don't know how to test the board except for putting it in and trying it.
Test the ones i you have in your engine. Very easy. except for your back. Use an ohm meter, I believe it should read .5 -5 ohms. I had the AC delco's 15G put in my 6.2 early in the year. They are supposedly self regulating. Even with a bad box through the year, I just put a new box in after...
I just looked on sites, None of them have the exact same markings as the ones on my board, How do I figure out which one to use? I never took electronics :( Are the numbers below the IRFP2907 just date codes and lot numbers or are they important?
Got it at Erik's a little cheaper than Kascar, un did the negative ground on the batteries, checked all glow plugs, all were 3.2-3.3 ohms. disconnected canon plugs unbolted 4 bolts and removed box. Cleaned all the areas where the bolts attach to the box, put new start washers and a couple bolts...
I have the original bumper on my M1038, I have the reinforced bumper kit I haven't put on yet to pull bigger trailers, don't have the airlift bumper. My question is, I know the pioneer tool rack will work with the original bumper, will it work with the reinforced bumper? How would it work...
What keeps the rack from sliding toward the front and bouncing out of the bracket? Just want to make sure I just slide mine into the bracket, nothing else on the bracket? Thanks.
Sounds good Bob wilco! I'm going to cable mine all in serial, I'll use a 17' cable to the first box on the b pillar run right along the drivers seat on the right, then behind the seat and up the verticle along the pillar so the boxes on the B pillar will be about 2ft apart equally in the...
I'm getting ready to install a vic one system AM1780 and 4 Com boxes. I'm thinking, I'm going to drill holes for the boxes in the B pillar for the driver and passenger and use nutzerts and bolts; the C pillar isn't as big so should I use or make some type of bracket or are there special brackets...
Check to see if your solenoid on the IP is working. Pull the wire from the connector on the pump, turn your ignition switch on, replug the wire into the connector. You should hear a click. If you don't there's your problem.
