    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

Finally got the cargo bed reinstalled on the chassis. Required a little tweaking but not too bad. Also, installed the tailgate, fuel filler neck and fire extinguisher. Engine running fine but do need to address a soft brake pedal. Vacuum wipers work great. Some pics:

    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

Todays work included: Installed the cargo bed wood and strips and got it all adjusted for installation on the chassis. Also fired up the engine to test all the gauges, lights, etc. Just realized I forgot to test the wiper motors. Fabricated a hold down assembly for the battery and drilled...

    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

Hoped to get the first coat of OD on the bed wood today but 20 mph winds shelved that plan. Supposed to be 5-10 mph tomorrow. I did install the King Bee mirror arm and mirror and the Corcoran-Brown relectors on the bed corners. I also milled the wood lazyback support arms. More tomorrow.

Outstanding Commander. Could you take a picture of one of the planks from an endgrain view. It looks like they were made using 1 to 2" strips of redwood. Very nice work. [thumbzup]

Unfortunately, I have been out of internet access for 4 days and have some catching up to do. So my observations are: 1. Based on the number of cans from your sponsor you must be using it for paint reducer. No one could drink that much. 2. The paintwork is just superb but I kinda...
