No problem on the vent assy I will bring a couple as well as a couple aftermarket outside crank handles to cover the guys that need something right away. I'm also going to bring a set of rears, if anyone needs a spare I'll sell for a good price.:-D

Correct, if the cable will not turn with your fingers then it is seized and needs replacing. The top of the fuel tank is notorious for collecting road dirt, take your garden hose and try to clean off the top of the tank so you can see the sending unit better. The ground wire has a small screw...

Yea, the weight of that T-135 transmitter alone is crazy. The shelter has two of the dynamotors that suppy power to the teletypes,( 28 VAC to 115 VAC). This set-up I'm told was for the back of an M-37 so a jeep would be groaning from the weight. I do have lights and DID have heat at the begining...

These shelters are definately COOL to have fun with. I've got an AN/GRC-46-B shelter that I restore and though it is a bit tight it is very relaxing to fire up the generator and sit inside and listen,( I don't have a license to transmitt)......much fun!!!:-D:-D:-D
Unscrew the speedo cable end from the trans and have someone turn the inner cable with their fingers you look to see if the speedo moves if it does then the problem is in the gears in the trans if not then pull the inner cable out and inspect, if thats good then the speedo unit itself might be...
